    Authorised storage capacity
    the maximum quantity of waste authorised for storage on the premises of the facility is 200 tonnes.
    Waste accepted
    hazardous and non-hazardous special waste. Waste from outside the region is also authorised.

    The compacting is carried out by means of a crushing plant located in a confined room adjacent to the storage room with a surface area of 930 m2, equipped with a system for collecting any leachate, consisting of a central channel, transfer system and a watertight storage tank. The plant, with a capacity of 7 t/h, consists of two sections: the first one performs a coarse crushing, the second a finer crushing (which can be used, if necessary, in series with the first section); the crushed waste is collected in removable containers, and moved to the storage area, from which it is then loaded on the vehicles that take it to its final destination (landfill or incineration).
    The crushing room has an exhaust ventilation system consisting of ducts located on the two crushers, on the loading hoppers of the crushers and on the conveyor belts with an exhaust capacity of 12,000 m3/h and an exhaust ventilation system serving the entire room with a maximum exhaust capacity of 24,000 m3/h. The abatement plant consists of dry filters and activated carbon filters for each exhaust line, for a total exhaust flow rate of 36,000 Nm3/h.
    The waste to be crushed consists of metal or plastic packaging and containers, classified both as non-hazardous and hazardous, elements or scraps of rubber, plastic and metal, filters, absorbent material, rags, textiles, wood, etc, which need compaction for proper final disposal. The waste to be crushed is stored either in containers or on pallets in the same room. The waste is loaded using a hydraulic arm with an orange peel bucket, while the crushed material is transferred directly into a removable conveyor, located at the end of the conveyor belts.
    Merging and mixing the waste is aimed at preparing homogeneous loads, with characteristics that comply with the acceptance specifications of the final plants, optimising the outgoing quantities and the related transports.

    Approval of waste
    Specific waste control procedures apply both when defining contracts with customers (the 'type approval' phase) and upon accepting deliveries to the plant. The compliance of the quality of the incoming waste with the corresponding approval is checked by means of visual and analytical inspections, carried out instantly, periodically and on a 'spot' basis, including collection of waste samples.
    After checking, the waste is sent for the treatments defined in the approval phase.
