Incoming waste acceptance procedures
Following the waste homologation procedure performed in the contract definition phase with customers, specific control procedures are adopted at the plant for incoming materials. At the homologation stage, the procedures for packaging and handling of materials to be delivered by the customer to the plant are defined. Each waste is picked up by Recycla in closed packaging or caissons with lids in order to limit odorous emissions and/or the creation of hazardous vapors.
Waste accepted at the plant is always checked at the unloading stage, whenever necessary or the waste needs to be re-approved at the platform samples are collected which are then subjected to analysis at the Maniago center. After passing the control phase, the waste in packages is labeled and stored at the areas defined in the authorization phase.
Storage methods
The waste in drums and containers, is stored in separate areas due to the different characteristics of hazardousness and reactivity, in order to ensure maximum safety of the entire facility. Waste delivered in big bags for the purpose of safety and better handling is also stored in ISO Standard 20-foot containers.
Waste delivered by skip can be stored as such and then with the skip in special areas of the shed or in the case of packaging or assimilated materials can be unloaded within special storage bays.
Waste storage takes place exclusively within a shed with a reinforced concrete floor subjected to additional waterproofing treatment with waterproofing resin. The entire shed serves as a containment basin for any spills.
The entire site is equipped with multiple fire extinguishing systems.
