IFAT Munich 2026: Herambiente strengthens its European position in the environmental technology sector

14/05/2026

Participation in IFAT Munich 2026 has confirmed the Herambiente Group’s growing role in the European environmental technology sector, within an international context that is now of unprecedented strategic importance.

On its 60th anniversary, IFAT has once again established itself as the global platform of reference for the sector, attracting  - from May 4 to 7 - around 3,400 exhibitors and 142,000 visitors from nearly 160 countries. The event highlighted how environmental technologies are evolving into a truly key industry, central to ensuring resilience, security of supply and competitiveness in a scenario marked by geopolitical tensions and fragile supply chains.

Within this context, the Herambiente Group’s first participation represented a significant step in its international growth journey, reinforcing a positioning increasingly focused on the European dimension: an important opportunity for dialogue that consolidates the company’s role, as it collaborates with leading Italian and international operators to develop efficient and sustainable models for the management, recovery and valorisation of waste. An approach based on tangible assets – a plant infrastructure unique in Italy, advanced industrial expertise and an operational presence already active in several European countries – which combines dedicated logistics expertise, supply chain management and partnerships with major groups, particularly in the fuels sector for hard-to-abate industries. An integrated model that enables Herambiente to operate seamlessly throughout the entire supply chain, maximising the recovery of materials and energy and transforming waste into new resources.

At the same time, IFAT provided an opportunity to present Herambiente Servizi Industriali on the international stage, strengthening the Group’s positioning as an integrated partner for businesses, capable of supporting them throughout their ecological transition journey, delivering measurable and certified improvements to their environmental performance. With an annual management of approximately 1.7 million tonnes of industrial waste and over 6,400 client companies, Herambiente is confirmed as the leading operator in Italy, capable of supporting companies not only in operational management but also in strategic decisions related to sustainability, regulatory developments and industrial competitiveness.

In a context where businesses increasingly require vision, expertise and the ability to analyse processes, the Herambiente model is therefore based on a consultative approach and long-term partnerships, extending across the entire supply chain and reinforced by collaborations with international players. Participation in IFAT Munich 2026 is therefore part of a broader initiative in which the Group is committed to developing advanced solutions for recycling, waste recovery and the circular economy, making a tangible contribution to the transition towards more sustainable and resilient industrial models.
