Overview
Plant for the storage, selection, treatment and recovery of:
• Municipal solid waste (deriving from the separated collection by the municipalities of dry mono and multi material fractions)
• Non hazardous special waste (deriving from artisanal and industrial production activities)

Recovery efficiency
70% 75%
- a line devoted to the selection of plastic and paper materials (new automatic line with optical readers);
- a line devoted to the selection of multi-material waste and subsequent volumetric reduction of the separated fractions;
- a line devoted to the selection of glass packaging (equipped with a deferrisation unit for metal tins and cans and an eddy current separator for aluminium);
- a line devoted to volumetric reduction.
The incoming waste is unloaded in the appropriate storage area for conformity controls. The various waste fractions are then grouped by type for eventual recovery treatment. The treatment lines perform manual and mechanical selection of the incoming waste in order to characterise it as secondary raw material, marketable product, or waste amenable to recovery at other plants. The plant has four separate treatment lines:
The residue from the selection process is sent for use in recovery plants to produce secondary solid fuel or energy, or for final disposal in a controlled landfill.

A ground-mounted photovoltaic plant with a power output of 19.32 kWp is installed at the entrance to the site.
