Overview
The landfill was created in Serravalle Pistoiese (PT) in 1996 to meet the needs of disposal of special waste classified as hazardous and non hazardous mainly produced by the craft and industrial activities of Tuscany.
The landfill is located in the central southern part of the municipal territory of Serravalle Pistoiese, at the foot of the Montalbano ridge, at an average altitude of approximately 85 meters a.s.l., near Casalguidi.
In addition to the landfill, the disposal hub also includes a non hazardous liquid waste treatment plant, which treats the leachate produced by the landfill.
