A growing collaboration
HASI's activities for Bormioli Pharma are mainly carried out in the Bergantino (Rovigo) and San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone) plants and concern the management of waste, in particular various types of packaging and glass processing residues, as well as support services for the classification and analysis of the waste produced. In addition to HASI, Aliplast has also joined the partnership in recent years. Thanks to its closed loop system, it has enabled the customer to recover and recycle plastic waste, regenerating it to obtain a quality product with the same technical characteristics as the raw material, which is then reintroduced into the company's production cycle.
Aliplast manages the LDPE waste produced by the Bormioli plants in San Vito al Tagliamento (Pordenone), Rivanazzano (Pavia) and Bergantino (Rovigo).
At the end of the production cycle of recycled plastic, the customer purchased the rPET 100% food contact granules from Aliplast, which are used as secondary packaging for glass bottles. Thanks to the transfer of LDPE waste to Aliplast, Bormioli Pharma made it possible to produce recycled polymers that replaced virgin material and thus avoided emissions of 780,000 kg of CO2 equivalent. The partnership with Bormioli Pharma demonstrates that Herambiente is the winning choice for companies.
