The platform consists of the following sections:

• Mechanical and manual processing areas;
• Waste storage box and EoW;
• Mobile shredding plant;
• fixed pressing plant.

For the waste that is processed in the plant, control procedures are preliminarily applied both at the stage of defining contracts with customers, waste approval stage, and at the stage of accepting deliveries at the center. The correspondence between the quality of the incoming waste and the respective approval is verified by visual and analytical controls, carried out periodically and spot checks, with samples of the waste being taken. After passing the control phase, the waste is, if necessary, labeled and stored at the defined areas, waiting to be processed, repackaged, recovered and sent to external facilities.

Waste in drums, containers or in bulk is stored in separate areas due to the treatments to which it is to be subjected and the different types of material constituting the waste in order to ensure maximum safety of the entire facility. All storage, warehousing and processing areas are placed under vacuum, and vacuumed dust is conveyed to a bag filter located outside the facility. Waste accepted for storage can be sent to:

• sorting and screening of solid waste;
• volumetric reduction in mobile shredding and pressing plant;
• removal of extraneous fractions;
• bundling.

These operations are carried out manually or with the help of mechanical means (excavator or equipped with tongs or spider) in the planned areas placed under suction and on impermeable pavement with a net to collect any bores. The sucked air is treated in a bag filter system, and the slurry is collected in a watertight tank. Materials are separated to obtain as much recoverable material as possible, which will be handled differently from the non-recoverable fraction destined for landfill disposal.

In a confined area with an impermeable ground, volumetric reduction of non-hazardous waste of a solid physical state is carried out, which is functional for the creation of waste aggregations for optimization of final disposal. A tri-shaft shredder with hydraulic controls and a press is used for this operation. The areas are placed under vacuum, and the vacuumed air is treated in a bag filter system. All rooms are equipped with a specific deluge fire-fighting system and waste temperature control using thermal imaging cameras and spark detectors. Before the material is sent for shredding, a selection is made by type and quality of the material, and the treatment is carried out by specific campaigns due to the type of waste. The waste is fed into the shredder, which reduces it into coarse fragments, which are then sent to the baler's loader belt, which compacts them into bales that will be stored awaiting delivery to the landfill.
