A growing collaboration
HASI's activity for Bormioli Pharma mainly takes place in the Bergantino (RO) and San Vito al Tagliamento (PN) plants and concerns waste management, in particular various packaging and residues deriving from glass processing, as well as services support in the classification and analysis of the waste produced in the plant. In recent years, in addition to HASI, Aliplast has also been involved in the partnership which, thanks to its closed loop circular system, has allowed the customer to recover and recycle the waste plastic material by regenerating it to obtain a quality product with technical characteristics equal to the one made with raw material, which is reintroduced into the company's production cycle.
Aliplast manages the LDPE waste produced by the Bormioli plants in San Vito al Tagliamento (PN), Rivazzano (PV), Bergantino (RO) .
At the end of the recycled plastic production cycle, the customer purchased Aliplast's 100% food contact rPET granule, used as secondary packaging for glass bottles. Thanks to the transfer of LDPE waste to Aliplast, Bormioli Pharma has allowed the production of recycled polymers which, replacing the virgin, have made it possible to avoid emissions equal to 780 thousand kg of CO2 equivalent.
