HEA S.p.A. (Hera and Eni for the environment) is a joint venture born from the synergy created by the two groups to optimize waste management—a corporate and technological partnership between leaders at the national level who are also deeply rooted in their local communities. From partnership to facility: a cutting edge environmental platform for industrial waste management, handling up to 60,000 tons per year of special waste — including hazardous materials — promoting energy and material recovery, and streamlining logistics and the impacts of final waste treatment. Total investment of approximately 35 million euros. The plant design complies with national and regional strategic objectives, employs the best available technologies, and integrates with the local industrial landscape, representing an evolution in services provided to businesses for industrial waste management.

Ponticelle: industrial redevelopment and coherence with strategic objectives

The Ponticelle Project, where the HEA plant is located, represents a virtuous cycle of brownfield redevelopment, industrial revitalization, and industrial symbiosis with local businesses. An initiative for the industrial redevelopment of a strategically located brownfield site. Following the environmental remediation project (approximately 13 million euros), investments will be made in three different redevelopment projects (over 85 million euros), with a total investment of nearly 100 million euros, in line with the objectives of the circular economy. This initiative is capable of generating significant and widespread benefits for the local area, in terms of service infrastructure, the economy, and employment. Approximately 30 jobs are expected to be created (up to 70 including related services and transportation) in the coming years. During the construction phase, up to 100 FTEs are estimated. The plant design is consistent with national and regional strategic objectives, adopting the best technologies currently available and integrating with the local industrial landscape. A corporate and technological partnership that creates strong synergy in industrial waste management activities, bringing together national leaders deeply rooted in the local community. The project fits perfectly into a region with established environmental protection and monitoring policies, featuring direct corporate engagement and a context of high awareness among all stakeholders and local governments.
